This is a 1960 Hubley, 1/24th scale plastic dealer giveaway toy. This one is the friction model. The dealers back then would give these out as promotional items trying to boost the sales of the Metropolitan. He could actually order a box of assorted colors and body styles at the unbelievable price of $18 per dozen! I'll take 5 dozen! Hubley also made a model kit that was sold in stores. It did not have the friction feature. That is how you can tell if you have the promotional Met or the kit.
